Kentwood Public Schools' newest IT offices have opened inside the East Kentwood High School Freshman Campus. Formerly some offices and a library, this 12,000 square-foot renovation brought the space down to a blank canvas.
Every wall was removed and this opened the space up to create new offices, a refreshed library and learning commons as well as tech repair rooms and training rooms for the district and for students.
The HVAC and the lighting were upgraded and the space now serves as the main hub for the district's technology. Students at the freshman campus have access to the new learning commons as well as the library for collaboration and learning outside of the classroom.
